Jordan A. Kempker, MD, MSc, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies in 2003, followed by his Doctor of Medicine in 2007; both from University of Florida. He completed his internship and residency at Emory University and then served for one year as the Chief Resident at Grady Memorial Hospital. To develop his professional capacity as a Clinical-Translational scientist, Dr. Kempker also completed a master's in science and clinical research through the Georgia Clinical & Translational Science Alliance at the Emory Laney Graduate Schoolbefore finishing up his fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Emory University. He then transitioned into a faculty position in 2015. Dr. Kempker has conducted research exploring the roles of vitamin D deficiency in the risk for serious infections, sepsis epidemiology, and the epidemiology of respiratory failure.
