MeMed Sponsored Webinar: Navigating Sepsis Uncertainty: Integrating MeMed BV into the Sepsis Workflow
Includes a Live Web Event on 12/03/2026 at 11:00 AM (PST)
Webinar Description:
Sepsis alerts in the emergency department drive urgent decisions about antibiotics and admission, often before the cause of infection is clear. This sponsored webinar will feature Brian K. DuChateau, PhD, D(ABMLI), U.S. Head of Medical Affairs at MeMed and a board-certified clinical laboratory immunologist with more than 20 years of experience as a clinical laboratory director. Dr. DuChateau will introduce MeMed BV®, an innovative host-response test that helps differentiate bacterial and viral infections. He will then introduce Jason Wilson, MD, PhD, CPE, FACEP, Chief of Emergency Medicine at Tampa General Hospital, who will dive deep into his real-world experience integrating MeMed BV into ED sepsis workflows. Dr. Wilson will cover how MeMed BV can inform admission and antibiotic decisions, support clinicians in categorizing patients as possible or unlikely bacterial sepsis, and help reduce unnecessary costs, drawing on real-world data from Tampa General Hospital.
